She was born on October 19, 1922 in San Saba County to Jess and Eudora Neighbors. Alene was the last surviving family member in that generation.
Alene attended high school in Richland Springs and Odessa and graduated in the class of 1940.
She married Charlie Smith in 1941 and they had one child, Charles Douglas Smith.
Alene later married James Morris on September 5, 1964.
She will always be remembered for her quick wit, sensibility, and beautiful crochet!
Alene was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Eudora Neighbors; her husbands, Charlie and James; her son, Doug; Two brothers and Five sisters.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Neighbors and Clydene Neighbors; numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Open Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 12 pm - 8 pm. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10am at Grape Creek Cemetery.
