Adele H. Elizondo

Adele Tijerina Hinojosa Elizondo, a direct of the descendant of the Diego and Maria Tijerina family that arrived in "The New World" in 1510, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012.

She was a person who always carried herself with dignity no matter how trying the situation. Adele gave her whole life to her husband, children and grandchildren. And what kept her going was her unshakeable faith in God. Her biggest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Adele graduated from St. Gerard's High School in 1963. She worked for San Antonio Savings, Frost Bank and the Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Adele was preceded in death by her beloved son, Carlos Eduardo Elizondo; birth mother and father, Pola Tijerina and Ignacio Hinojosa; also "Mom and Dad", Jesus and Tillie Muoz; brother, Sonny Hinojosa, and sister Janie Sanchez. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Luis D. Elizondo; daughter, Diana Lisa Briseo and husband, Mark; sons, Luis D. Elizondo, Jr. and wife, Priscilla and Marco A. Elizondo and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Luis D. Elizondo III, Dylan Marco Elizondo, Zoe Elizondo, Emerye Elizondo and Ava Briseo; one brother, Pedro Hinojosa and wife, Janie; also brothers and sister, James Muoz, Andrew Muoz and wife, Lucy, Jesse Muoz, Beatrice Martinez and husband, Arthur, many nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
