Born Agnes Free, June 7, 1924, in Suffolk, England, Agnes was a nurse during World War II at the Red Cross hospital, Hintlesham, Suffolk, and later at Borough General (now Heath Road Wing), Ipswich. She was married in 1945 to Louis Kreusel, Sr., an American serving in the Eighth Air Force in England. When he returned home, she followed, crossing the Atlantic on the Queen Mary. Agnes and Louis made their home in San Antonio, Texas and lived happily together until Louis' death in 1999. There's probably never been another couple as much in love as they. On February 9, Agnes entered eternity where she and Louis are united again. Now they are together in the presence of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who loved them and gave Himself for them. Agnes was in fellowship with saints gathered at Cheryl Bible Chapel. She served in the family business, Office Supply America, for over thirty years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and godly example. We will miss her and cherish her memory. She is survived by a brother, Jethro Free, sister, Frances Smith, brothers-in-law, Alfred Kreusel (Lorene), and Frank Kreusel (Joy), sisters-in-law, Betty Lee Aramendia (Ted), and Clare Free, sons Louis (Nelda), Tim (Elaine), and Jeff (Angela), eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at l0 a.m., Saturday, February 18, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd., San Antonio, followed by burial services at San Fernando 3. Viewing will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, at Sunset Northwest.
