Agustin Telles

May 29, 1946, in Lyford, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Catarino Cisneros and Josefina Telles, and his sister, Elodia Ambriz. Agustín is survived by his loving children, Cyndi Telles (Luisa Rodriguez), Agustin Telles (Maria de Lourdes), Marc Telles,

and Andrea Sanchez (Melchor); sibling, Josie Sims (Samuel); 8 grandchildren, Nicholas Telles, Abigail Telles, Arriana Sanchez, Lilliana Sanchez, Juliana Sanchez, Viviana Sanchez, Jaziah Sanchez, and Luciana Sanchez, and nieces, nephews and other extended family

members.

Agustin was an electrician and truck driver by trade and always kept busy. In the early 1960s, Agustin was drafted into the US Army and was stationed at Fort Hood,

Texas. Agustin always had a passion for music, playing French horn in his high school band and then continuing in the Army Band stationed at Fort Hood. After his time in the military, Agustin picked up learning the guitar and Bajo Sexto (twelve string guitar).

In the late 1980s and early 1990s he was very active playing Bajo Sexto in various conjunto bands performing across South Texas. Agustin continued playing guitar and singing at his church and for friends and family until his passing.
