'When we first met Aida in 1966 in Bad Hersfeld Germany we knew she was special. She welcomed us into her home like family. Over the years, we always kept in touch. When we came to San Antonio in 1982 to retire, it was like we were never apart. She was the same loving caring person that we remembered. We have always flet of her as our second Mami. We loved her as we would love our own family. We will miss her dearly. Of course that love extends to Bonifacio, our dear friend. May God help you through this time of sorrow. You have shown your devotion to Aida in the care that you provided to her. Keeping her at home till the end so that she would be surrounded by her family and loved ones to the end. God will repay you for your sacrifices and loyalty to Aida in her hours of need. Your friends for life.

'My dear sweet mom has gone to be with our Savior. I am left with so many wonderful memories of the countless ways she showed her love to me. I always felt special in her presence. I can remember the long conversations we had in the kitchen or laying in her bed. We were not alike in many ways, but we were the best of friends. She guided me and gently corrected me and if I am at all successful as a wife and mother it is because of her. She was the most amazing grandmother. All three of my children felt her unconditional love and she made them feel like the most beautiful, intelligent children on planet earth. We were all privileged to aid in her care over the last few years. Even though her body and mind were failing her; she wwas still a joy to be with. She would lovingly look into the eyes of her grandchildren as they would hold hands and enjoy each others company. We will miss you mama, but can just imagine you dancing on the streets of gold with your perfect body. See you in heaven.'

'As the first grand child, Mama was especially dear to me! I have nothing, but the best memories of her. She was always there for me growing up. She taught me so many things about life that I will eventually impart to my own little girl. One of the most important and most memorable for me is that she taught me how to pray. She had an amazing love for the Lord that was obviously evident in her every day life. She always made me feel beautiful, encouraged me in my talents, believed I could do anything, and most of all accepted me for who I was. I will never forget all the long talks, all the laughs, and all the time we spent in the campo/PR together. Mama no one could ever replace you- You will always be near and dear to my heart. I am thankful that you are with your maker and that you no longer feel any pain. 'Mama Aida. it's funny how in life you meet people that impact your life, without them knowing it. Mama was that person for me. When I first met Rebecca I was Blessed to also meet an awsome family. Mama as the matriarch always provided the love and care that I could not get from my parents because they where in Puerto Rico. When I was sick, Mama was there, when I was hungry she was there; eventhough I only been with Reby for a short time. When I fell in love with Rebecca I was blessed to also fall in Love with the Family, 
For me Mama wasn't a mother in law she was like my Mother. 
I will always love you and miss you. 
I look forward to seeing you in heaven.
