

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the death of such a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Albert Preciado, Jr., 69, of San Antonio, Texas. After a hard-fought two-year battle with Cholangiocarcinoma, he passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on October 20, 2017. Albert was born on February 7, 1948 to Albert D. Preciado Sr. and Josefine Cruz.
Albert attended Fox Tech High School and joined the US Army in 1967. He met the love of his life, Janie C. Preciado, at the age of 18. In 1974, Albert Preciado, Jr., a US Army Veteran (Master Plumber) and his wife Janie Preciado, opened A&A Sewer Contractors, Inc., which has been in business for 44 years and will continue to operate under his wife, daughters, and Leif Benavides, who was personally trained by Albert. They renewed their vows on October 14, 2017, surrounded by their daughters, grandchildren, and friends. They have been in love and married for 48 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert D. Preciado. He is survived by his loving wife, Janie C Preciado; his daughters, Janine Preciado Sanchez and her husband Jesse; Ericka Preciado Bacon and her husband John; seven grandchildren: Roger A Flores IV, Isabella Bacon, Lourdes Bacon, Ezra Bacon, Marcos Flores, Lily Bacon, and Sebastian Sanchez. He is also survived by his mother, Josefine Preciado; his sisters, Yolanda Dehoyos, Mela Gaghan; and brothers, Henry Dehoyos (Manda); Hector Preciado; Aaron Preciado; as well as a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 starting at 4:30 p.m. following with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
A mass will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 9 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1314 Fair Ave, San Antonio, Texas. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
