Col. Endress proudly served his county during WWII, the Koren conflict and the Vietnam war; he honorably retired from the US Air Force in 1965 after 33 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie B. Endress and is survived by his children: James V. Endress; Charles A. Endress and wife, Margaret; Mary Anna Townsend and Christina Endress; eight 8 grandchildren; eight 8 great-grandchildren and one 1 great-great grandson.
