Alice J. Fuentes

Alice J. Fuentes, of San Antonio, Texas passed from this world to the next early Sunday morning, June 12, 2022. She has joined her loving parents, Rogelio and Clementina Jimenez, brother, Roger Jimenez II, and sister, Ana Sanchez.

Alice was a native San Antonian, born June 3, 1939. Always a kind, loving person, and welcoming, she managed to make strangers feel like family within the first few minutes of meeting. She enjoyed cooking and baking and would regularly put out a spread large enough to feed an Army. Alice loved her plants; her green thumb could be seen from the plants that covered the house, patio and her gardenias outside. She met her husband, Roland at the age of 12 years old in junior school. The two would grow and get married having a beautiful marriage of 62 years, 7 months and 4 days. Alice and Roland started their life together in Oceanside California while her husband served in the U.S. Marine Corp. They were avid travelers enjoying the many adventures they experienced together. Alice favored above all else though, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She saw her title of grandma as an honor.

Alice is survived by her husband, Roland Fuentes, 3 children-Roland Fuentes Jr., Belinda Pisana, Nathan Fuentes, 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many other friends and family members who have had the pleasure of having her in their lives.

Services for Mrs. Alice J. Fuentes will be held at Sunset Funeral Home located at 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 6-9PM with a rosary at 7PM. Funeral services will be June 26, 2022 at 11AM with reception to follow immediately after.
