Alicia and her husband instilled in their children a deep appreciation for the importance of National Parks heritage. She was fun loving and quick witted. There was never a person in need to whom she did not extend a helping hand.
She had a very competitive nature and would always enjoy bringing home prizes from competitions with family and communities in Chinese checkers, dominos, bingo and canasta. She was involved in the initial "Community Action" programs in Marathon where she helped many families with their needs and also served as a language interpreter. As part of the "Community Action" services, she held exercise and offered nutrition advice for women. She was a nurturing and kind spirit for her family and community.
