Alicia G. Gonzales

Alicia was a diehard Houston Astros fan who loved cheering on her team and never missed watching a game. She lived a beautiful and fulfilling life, rich with laughter, love, and boundless energy. She was truly one of a kind—full of life, outgoing, and always the light in every room. Her warm heart, contagious smile, and unwavering strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alicia is preceded in death by her parents Arturo Jr. and Eloisa Gonzales and her brothers Arturo III, Bobby, and Raul Gonzales.

She is survived by her children Annette Villareal (George), Jannette Yanes (Dennis), and Blanca Lucio; grandchildren Antonio Mendez, Ashley Moreno, Mariah Jimenez, Jason Mendez (Lisa) and Destiny Yanes; great grandchildren Adalynn Mendez, Skyelynh Mendez, Iliziah Martinez, and Javi Martinez. As well as her sisters  Angie Arizola (Jimmy) and Dora Gonzales

Alicia also leaves behind a legacy of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends all of whom brought her tremendous joy and pride.

While we grieve the loss of such an extraordinary woman, we also celebrate the incredible 81 years Alicia gifted us. Her legacy will live on in the stories we share, the traditions she passed down, and the love that binds us together.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Alicia’s daughter Annette and her grandson Antonio for their unwavering love and devoted care, providing Alicia with comfort and dignity in the home they shared until the very end.

The family would also like to extend their sincere appreciation to the hospice team Guiding Light, for their compassionate care and support during Alicia’s final days.

A visitation for Alicia will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park, 8232 Mission Rd., San Antonio, TX 78214.

We will carry her in our hearts forever.
