Alicia Olga Herrera, better known as Olga, entered into her eternal rest on February 21, 2024 at the age of 92. She was born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico on February 8, 1932 to Paula Cadena and Federico Reyes. She was the third child of four children.
Olga loved to be creative. She loved to knit, sew, and crochet. Everyone in the family received a handmade blanket from Olga. If news of a new grandchild or great-grandchild came, Olga soon started on a blanket for them. She was a fantastic baker, her cakes and cookies could not be beat. Olga also loved to collect stuffed animals, especially bears, and porcelains dolls. Let’s not forget she loved to eat vanilla ice cream/shakes as well.
Olga will be reunited in heaven with her son, Carlos Reyes; parents, Paula, and Federico Reyes; sisters, Yolanda Flores, and Gloria “Nena” Reyes; and brother, Omero Reyes.
Her memory will forever live in her children, Maricela (Richard) Herrera, Thelma (Jose) Guevara, Samuel Herrera, and Gerardo Herrera; daughter in law, Maria Reyes; Grandchildren, Valerie (Eric), Randall (Veronica), Brandon Austin (Alexis), Jose Angel III, Janet Nicole (Michael), Judy Marie, Carlos Jr (Jessica), and Jessica (Jacob). Great-grandchildren, Aiden, Gavin, Sophia, and Olivia Gonzalez, Jace and Jimi Lee Armstrong, Kaleb Martinez, Khloe Madrigal, Michael, Jayléne and Jacob Esparza, Aríana Luna, Brianna Sangiuliano, Giovanni and Santiago Reyes, Ayala, and Alina Ramirez; and very dear friend, May Brown. Her memory will also be remembered by all the extended family and friends.
The Herrera family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses at Harbor Valley Rehab Facility. All the care that was given to Alicia Olga is appreciated and held with much love.
