Bur to all who knew him, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away December 7, 2021, at the age of 75. He leaves behind wife, Mary Jackson, daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Matthew Green, grandson, Tyler Green, and cherished pets, Harley and Fluff, along with many dear friends.
A lifelong Texan, Bur was born and raised in San Antonio. He served aboard the USS Ranger during the Vietnam conflict. Following his military service, he worked in car sales before becoming the proprietor of Around the Bend tavern.
Bur was a creative and gentle soul. He was an artist, collector, animal lover, and classic car enthusiast. He will always be known for his wit, kindness, generosity, unique outlook on life, and compassionate heart.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Burs memory to SharedBeat.org or Wildlife-Rescue.org.
