We are gathered here today to honor a life well-lived, a heart full of love, and a legacy that will shine on in the memories of those he touched. Allan Craig Williams took his final breath on the 9th of April, 2024, and stepped into the glory of the Heavenly Father. Born on June 10th, 1947, in the humble town of Healdton, Oklahoma, Allan began his earthly journey that would span across seven decades. A devoted husband, loving father, adored grandfather, and cherished friend, Allan leaves behind a tapestry of lives that are richer for having had him woven into their stories. His beloved wife, Marilynn Williams, stood by his side as a partner in both love and life's adventures. Together, they raised a family that became Allan's most precious achievement: his son and daughter-in-law Craig and Heather Burch, his daughter and son-in-law Mistey and Brandon Broussard, and his son and daughter-in-law Destiny and Megan Williams. Each one, a shining example of the kindness and strength that he instilled within them.
The joys of his life were further multiplied by his grandchildren, Kaela Leman, Kamryn Broussard, Isabelle Cook, Skylar Burch, Jackson Williams, Jensen Williams, and Landyn Williams. And when we speak of generations, we must remember the twinkling eyes of his great-grandchildren, a continuation of his legacy. Allan earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration, which he utilized not only to carve out a successful career but also to provide for his family. What words could truly sum up a man like Allan? Loving, beyond measure; generous, to a fault; humble in every sense of the word—these were the guiding stars by which Allan lived his life. A man of family and faith, Allan treasured every moment he spent surrounded by his loved ones. To sit with him at a table surrounded by the clamor and laughter of his grandchildren was to see Allan at his happiest. He took every opportunity to share stories, impart wisdom, or simply listen—a precious gift in this hurried world. When the shadows grow long and the leaves turn to gold, it is often said God calls His best home. And so, it was, that Allan Craig Williams was beckoned to join that heavenly choir. As we mourn the absence of his earthly presence, we rejoice in the knowledge that Allan is rejoicing with Jesus, embraced by everlasting peace.
To all who knew Allan, remember him with smiles that mirror his own, with acts of kindness that honor his legacy, and with the continued nurturing of the strong family bonds that he held so dear. Let us lift our hearts in prayer, not in sorrow but in celebration, for a life that was, indeed, one well livedMay the road rise to meet you, Allan, and may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hands until we meet again. Rest now, dear Allan, your work here is done, and your story, a beacon of love, continues to inspire us all. Amen.
