

Allan Charles Wright, Sr., born to Allan Russell Wright and Florence Cecelia Koch (Wright) June 19, 1944 at Fort Sam Houston National Hospital, San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2012 at the age of 67.
He is a 6th generation Texan, a direct descendant of two of the "Original 300" families, James Britt Bailey and Joseph Henry Polley. Allan was raised in San Antonio and attended Alamo Heights High School before furthering his education at Trinity University and TCU along with MFG studies.
He began his career at IBM but early on his Air Force Reserve unit was activated for 24 months, 12 of those months being served in Korea. Allan spent his whole life playing hard with long term friends and working hard by being personally involved in several successful sheet metal manufacturing businesses. He spent the last ten years of his career as the Operations Manager of EVS Metal, Inc.
Allan had a true passion for golf and always looked forward to the early morning weekend matches with his River City Golf Association buddies.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jana Hix Wright; his son, (Charly) Allan Charles Wright, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Ginger Christopher Wright; grandchildren, Van Wright, Gia Wright and Deva Wright; sister, Pam O'Connor; nieces, Kristin O'Connor and Kelly Haupt; sister-in-law, Shari Hix Anderson and husband, Gregg; nephew, Robert Anderson and wife, Regan and niece, Kari Anderson.
In hopes that some of Allan's medical problems might benefit someone in the future, he has donated his body to the University of Texas Health Science Center.
