San Antonio
The Alamo City
The jewel called San Antonio,
if Texas wore a crown,
Would be mounted in the highest point,
as befits this noble town.
For here one lives with history
in a thousand paths and ways,
And on the calendar of history
San Antonio counts the days.
The noble don of royal line
lived here, and had his day,
And many who made history
passed here, along the way.
Oh, lovely San Antonio,
of the six bold flags you flew,
Every one gave of its best,
And became a part of you.
