

Alma will forever be remembered by her children and grandchildren: Son, Tony Castillo, his wife Cindy Castillo, and their children Ryan, Toni Rae, Joel, and Sam; daughter Cathy Yarbrough, her husband Sean Yarbrough, and their children Arick, Kenady, Matthew, and Chloe; daughter Kelly Tyson, her husband Ryan Tyson, and their children Brenner, Kyla, Jessa, and Jonathon.
She is also survived by cherished siblings: Marie Rivas, Rosalinda Gallegos, Jane DeLeon, Victor Perez Jr., Robert Perez, and Raymond Perez, along with many siblings-in-law, nieces, and nephews who will deeply miss her warmth, kindness, and love.
Alma is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Chris, her parents, Juanita and Victor Perez, and her brother, Hector Perez.
Alma graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2005 and was a dedicated pillar of her community. Her passion for service was evident in her leadership as President of the Juan Seguín Society and Vice Chairwoman of the Republican Party of Texas (2018–2020). She leaves behind a legacy through her tireless dedication to these organizations and the many lives she touched.
Alma’s greatest joy in life was her faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ, and time spent with her family. She especially adored her 12 grandchildren, who will always carry her love and guidance in their hearts.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to VITAS Healthcare for their compassionate care and guidance, as well as to all family and friends for their prayers, love, and support during this time.
A Celebration of Life and funeral services will be held on April 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Gateway Fellowship Church, 10907 W Loop 1604 N, San Antonio, TX 78254. Family, friends, and all who wish to honor Alma’s life are welcome to attend.
Alma will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with her late husband, Chris Jackson.
