

Alton Edwin Landry, cherished and loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on June 6, 2009. Ed was born on November 19, 1930 to Edison and Annie (Dolberry) Landry. He attended the University of Texas, graduated from Texas Tech and received his MSW from the Worden School of Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University. Ed served in the Air Force, traveled extensively abroad and lived in Germany for seven years. Ed possessed a great strength and sweet sense of humor. He was handsome, intelligent, kind and gentle. Ed was a blessing to all who knew him. We will miss him terribly but he'll always be in our hearts. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty seven years, Evelyn Yturri Landry; son, Erich Richard Landry; daughter, Annemarie Landry Kirkpatrick and husband Robert; grandchildren, Robert, Katherine, Thomas and Sam Kirkpatrick; his sister, Doris Landry Graham and husband Donald and numerous nephews and nieces. The Landrys wish to thank their family and friends for their continued love, support and prayers, Inspirations Home Health Agency, Dr. Raymond Hernandez, Jr., the staff at Metropolitan Methodist, especially Dr. Randy Panther and Hospice Inspiris who took such good care of our whole family during this last month.
