Amelia D. Martinez

Amelia was born October 3, 1938 in San Antonio, TX to Tomasa Campos Diaz and Placido Torres Diaz. Amelia proudly volunteered her time at her family’s schools and churches. During her down time she enjoyed fishing, crocheting and spending time with her plants. She was her happiest when spending time with her family and seeing her kids and grandchildren grow.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Eugenio Martinez, brothers, Francisco, Placido Jr., Ricardo, Antonio and sister, Maria Louisa.

Amelia is survived by her sisters Petra, Carmen and Esperanza. In addition, children and their families; daughter, Monica M. Trevino and husband Alfred Trevino; son, Richard Martinez; granddaughters, Kaylee, Angelina and Marisa; also, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

To a great Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend, we will love you and miss you forever and always.

Services

Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. at Trevino Funeral Home. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. A Funeral Procession will depart the Catholic Church at 12:15 PM. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
