Anabel was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 29th, 1963, to Maria De Lourdes and Edgar Hugo Gonzalez. She was a devout Christian and dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, leading prayer groups and bible studies. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Jaime Gonzalez. She is survived by her children, Jennifer/Daniel Castaneda, Elizabeth/Daniel Reyes and her son, Javier/Micaiah Reyes, and her siblings, Laura Reyes, Edgar Gonzalez, Maria Aguilar, George Gonzalez, and Sandra Guzman.
Anabel is remembered for her kindness, beauty, and artistry. She was truly one of a kind and loved by many.
A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM.
Anabel loved to be celebrated and dress up, even requesting to wear a tiara at her funeral. That being said, we encourage guest to not wear black but to wear your favorite bright color or Anabel’s, which was blue.
