

Andres Botello Rodriguez (Tito), a cherished father, grandfather, family man, and esteemed carpenter, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, at his home in Castroville, Texas. Born on November 10, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas, Andres's life was marked by his dedication to his family, his craft, and his love for the outdoors.
Andres was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ernestina Rodriguez, his father, Roberto Sosa Rodriguez, and his mother, Felipa Botello Rodriguez, Grandson, Alejandro “Baby Alex” Rodriguez Jr. and Great Granddaughter, Anaya Juliet Garza; His sisters Roberta Zurita and Elida Moreno. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through his children: daughter Eusebia Rodriguez Price (Norbert), sons Andres Rodriguez Jr. and Alejandro Rodriguez (with his wife Michelle Rodriguez), and daughter Virginia Rodriguez (with her husband Danny Rodriguez). His spirit will live on in the joyous memories shared with his 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren who were the light of his life. Adding to his legacy are his brother, Antonio Rodriguez (Enriqueta) and sister Olga Narvaez Lira (Anthony “Tony”) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who were very dear to his heart.
For many years, Andres was known for his exceptional skill as a carpenter. His handiwork contributed to the construction of several iconic shopping centers in San Antonio, including Ingram Park Mall, North Star Mall, and River Center Mall. His contributions to the city's infrastructure have left an indelible mark on the landscape and in the hearts of those who had the pleasure to work alongside him.
Beyond his professional life, Andres was a man who embraced the joys of living. He relished the time spent surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His presence at family gatherings was always a source of happiness and comfort, and his stories and laughter would echo through the room, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
An avid outdoorsman, Andres found solace in the tranquility of nature. He was an enthusiastic hunter, often retreating to his ranch, where he enjoyed the serenity and the thrill of the hunt. Fishing was another of his passions, providing him with moments of reflection and patience as he waited for the catch of the day.
Andres also had a love for the simple pleasures in life. His trips to the casino were a source of excitement and enjoyment, where he would indulge in the games of chance with a smile on his face.
Andres B. Rodriguez will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune to know him. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and warmth, whose impact on his family and friends will be felt for generations to come.
