He is survived by his son, Dominic Sosa, his mother, Sylvia P. Sosa, his brother, Albert Sosa III, sister, Brenda (Edgar) Ortega, nephew, Uriah, niece, Novalie, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Andy was raised in Harlingen, TX where he showed early on that he had a passion for sports. He excelled in football and basketball until after his high school days. Andy also discovered early on that he had a special talent with cooking. Be built his skills for a few years before leaving to Corpus Christi to pursue opportunities as a chef. During his last year in Corpus Christi, his son Dominic was born before finally relocating to San Antonio in 2009.
Rest assured, Andy will not easily be forgotten due to his larger than life personality. Wherever he went, he had us all laughing until we were in tears. He charmed us all with his sense of humor and bright smile. If you were lucky enough to eat one of his meals, then you were a privileged few. My brother was a master chef and loved to cook. It was a skill he picked up from his grandmother, a person he loved with all his heart until his last day with us. And his son he loved being Dominics poppa.
Andy will be remembered most for his irreplaceable sense of humor and his unmistakable personality. He loved being in large gatherings with family and friends where he could spread laughs and cheer through the night. His presence with us all will be gravely missed.
