

He is reunited in heaven with his father Juan and mother Antonia, sister Gladys and little brother Johnny. Andrew leaves behind his lifelong soul mate and partner of 64 years, his wife Terry, sons Andy and Bobby, daughter Becky, and daughter-in-law Corie. Grandchildren Andres, Aaron, Rafael, Mateo, Gabriel, Jonathan and Kristen, his great grandchildren Isaiah, Alexis and Ethan, as well as his sister Stella H. Salazar and six nephew's and seven nieces.
Devotion to his family, community, church, and country marked his life. He served his country as an Airman 1st class in the United States Air Force and then went on to serve in the Air Force Civil Service for another 35 years. Andrew worked at Kelly Field Air Force Base, Lackland Air Force Base and at Wright Patterson A.F.B. in Dayton, Ohio. He held the position of Director of Maintenance at Kelly A.F.B. and as an Equal Opportunity Officer at Lackland.
Born and raised in the United Methodist Church, he faithfully served La Trinidad U.M.C. for 70 years in various capacities including as a trustee of the church, as its treasurer and as the chairman of its annual 4th of July fundraiser. Committed to the spiritual and social advancement of the Latino Community he served on the Board of Trustees of Project S.T.A.Y., the Inman Christian Center, and as a volunteer for the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project. Believing in fairness he also served as a member of the Bexar County Tax Appraisal Review Board. Visitation will be held Monday, August 16, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
