Andrew Warren Hull was called home to be with Jesus on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the age of 52. He was born August 7, 1963 in Santa Monica, CA. In 1980, Andrew settled in San Antonio, TX with his family.
Andrew was a passionate instructor for USAA Federal Savings Bank, where he worked for 28 years. He was incredibly proud to serve the military community and their families. Andrew was gifted with a special voice and was the "voice" of USAA that greeted callers. Recognized for his love of music, Andrew sang for many years in the Cornerstone Church Choir as a soloist and performer. Andrew was confident about his salvation in Christ and sought to share the gift of grace with all who knew him. Andrew was a family man at heart and never stopped believing in them or the power of prayer. His son was involved in a plethora of sports as a child and Andrew was coaching every step of the way. This continued well into their adult years as Andrew proudly wore his "Dollie Dad" shirt as a staple at every dance function for his daughters in high school, & attended every performance his son was featured in. As an avid Spurs fan, he enjoyed watching games and grilling fajitas with family and friends. Andrew took great pride in his yard, desiring "home" to feel like a beautiful and warm place for visitors and friends. His children found him to be a wealth of knowledge as he passed on his enthusiasm for history and current events. Forever a charismatic and known for his sense of humor, Andrew loved making people laugh and telling stories about camping trips gone awry. Of all of his titles, the one he cherished most was "Papa," taking great joy in his grandchildren and making memories with loved ones.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Danna Hull; daughters, Anna Hull, Aimee Hull Rogers; son, Jonathan Hull; son in-law, Grayson Rogers Sr.; grandchildren, Grayson Jr. and Paige Rogers; parents, Rev. Paul and Suzanne Hull; brother, Tom Hull; sister, Laura Trosen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
