

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Marfield Knapp; his mother, Angela Marguerita Piechowski of Nanuet, New York; and his brother, Anthony Knapp of Laurens, New York.
Andrew is survived by his son, Michael Alexander Knapp, and daughter, Amanda Jennifer Nichols. He was a proud grandfather to Brooklyn Knapp, Boston Knapp, Hunter Nichols, and Andrew Nichols. He is also survived by Patricia Knapp of Florida (sister-in-law); Debbie Knapp Jackson of Florida (niece); Andrea Herrero of Tennessee (niece); and Tony Knapp of Virginia (nephew).
Andrew graduated from Nanuet High School in New York and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Stony Brook University.
He served honorably in the United States Air Force as a Technical Sergeant (TSGT), including a tour of duty in Vietnam during his four years of service.
Professionally, Andrew built a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in the international sales and window film industry. He began with Courtaulds Performance Films, where he forged meaningful relationships worldwide, contributed to business development, and earned a reputation as a trusted and successful leader. He retired at the age of 62.
Andrew enjoyed golfing, cheering on New York Giants Football Team, and watching classic John Wayne westerns.
He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, honesty, and generosity—including his charitable giving to causes such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Above all, Andrew was respected and admired—as an “architect of success” in both his professional and personal life.
