Anita Polunksy Davis

She and her husband, Norman S. Davis, who preceded her in death, had a long and fulfilling life in San Antonio. Anita, known to her family as "Mimi", was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She spent her life supporting the survival of the State of Israel and building the strength of the local Jewish community, and she had a passion for the Texas Longhorns which she shared with her family.

She is survived by her children, Louise and Michael Beldon, Susan Kaminsky, Beverly Levy, and Russell and Terry Davis; by her grandchildren, Bradford and Susan Beldon, Allison and Daniel Kustoff, Jennifer and James Rosenblatt, Jonathan and Maria Beldon, Robin Kaminsky and Stacey Cooke, Karen and Rich Siefert, Larry Levy, Mark and Tara Levy, Leslie and Mike Met, and Greg and Kathryn Davis; and by her 21 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Mackenzie, Marshall and Dylan Beldon; Hilary, Emily, Jeremy and Annie Kustoff; Samantha, Molly and Jack Rosenblatt; Mason and Anya Beldon; Max and Peter Siefert; Ben Levy; Ethan and Lauren Met; and Maggie, Norman and Claire Davis; as well as by her brother-in-law, Milford Jacobs, and her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Davis, Merle Polunsky and Ann Polunsky.

Mimi and Papa left a beautiful legacy, and their memory will be cherished as a blessing by their family. Her grandchildren will lovingly serve as pallbearers.

The family is deeply indebted to Dr. Michael Lichtenstein and to her home caregivers, who lovingly cared for her for over the last 10 years; and to Drs. Mellick Sykes and Jonathan Tramer, the staff at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital, and to Christus VNA Hospice, who all worked so skillfully and with great commitment to care for her in the last few weeks of her life.
