Anita H. Rios, 86 went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2012. She was born in San Antonio, Texas April 29, 1925. She is a direct descendant of Francisco Hernandez the Martin Alarcon Expedition Founders of San Antonio de Bexar, dating back to 1718. Mrs. Rios is preceded in death by her husband Jose G. Rios; brothers Ruben Hernandez Sr., Guadalupe Hernandez; sisters Estella Hernandez, Lydia H. Gonzales. Mrs. Rios is survived by her children Jose H. Rios, Yolanda H. Rios, Gabriel H. Rios (Diana); grandchildren Jon-Gabriel Rios, Joshua Rios; brothers Eddie Hernandez, Arturo Hernandez (Irene), Adolfo Hernandez (Yolanda); sisters Eva Rios (Abelardo), Emma Hernandez. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., with a Rosary to be recited that same evening at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, with interment to be followed at Holy Cross Cemetery.
