Anita C. Sartain

Anita Carole Sartain entered eternal rest on August 30, 2018 at the age of 82, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Thomas Sartain. She is survived by her children Elisha (Willard) Fields, Laura (Jimmy) Simmons, Melissa (Carlos) Ramones, Karen Harneck, and Joshua (Leeann) Sartain, grandchildren Erica, Elizabeth, Sara, Jennifer, Kathryn, Seth, Nicholas, Jason, Carlos, Justin, Jennifer, Marcus, Marshall, and Nathaniel, great grandchildren Alex, Zach, Crystal, Reese, Nadia, Fernando, Connor, Bella, Christopher, Mark, Karlee, and Caleb.

Anita faithfully served her country in the United States Air Force from 1954-1955. She retired from San Antonio Police department after 34 years of serving her community. She will be remembered for her love of family, animals, crafts, plants, Star Trek and especially shopping. She took great pride in making centerpieces for an annual Christmas party for Peter Piper Pizza.

The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 5:00p.m.-9:00p.m. Service will continue at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 6914 Wurzbach, with a celebration of life at 8:45a.m. Interment will follow in Ft.
