She was a member of Travis Park United Methodist Church, Highland Park Lioness Club, P.E.O. Sisterhood, and Blue Bird Auxiliary of Methodist Hospital.
She graduated from the University of Texas in 1919 and Teachers College of Columbia University where she received a Masters Degree in 1921.
In addition to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Oscar Stanfield in childhood and Alton Stanfield, and her sister Lucille Carson.
She is survived by daughters, Jeannette Crawford and husband George, and Lucy Ann Arnold and husband Jack; granddaughters Martha Ann Crawford and husband Chuck Connerly, Barbara Jones and husband David, and Jean Crawford; grandsons, Jim Arnold, Mike Arnold and wife Renee, and Kent Arnold and wife Carroll; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Maybelle Montgomery and Mattie Fancher.
