Anna Geneve Montgomery

“Meema” is survived by her five children, Shirley Priest; Don (Ann) Montgomery of Kovar, Texas; Leslie (Jeff) McIntosh of San Saba, Texas; Scott (Lisa) Montgomery of Corpus Christi, Texas: Jim (Beverly) of Kingsville, Texas; and her sister Ardis Bea McCumber of Mathis,Texas: 12 grandchildren - James (Karina), Shawn (Brittany) and Ryan (Kate) McNeely; Matthew (Lisa), Jennifer (Bryan) Schwierzke, Garrett (Amanda), and Ben (Haley) Montgomery; Megan (Cody) Cameron, Tyler McIntosh, and Marshal McIntosh; Lindsay Montgomery, and Allisan Montgomery: and 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Lynn Montgomery, her parents Simeon “Goofie” and Louise McCumber, and her brother Bruce McCumber.

“Meema” Montgomery was born on September 21,1930 in Dinero, Texas to parents Simeon Lewis McCumber and Louise McNeill McCumber. She graduated early from high school and completed business college. On June 11, 1949 she married Gerald Lynn Montgomery in George West, Texas at St. George Catholic Church.

Meema was certainly the matriarch of a large and loving family. She will be missed by many friends, neighbors, and family.

Visitation will be at Porter Loring Mortuary North in San Antonio on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be with Galloway & Sons Funeral Home of George West.
