Anna C. Quiroz

Anna Louise Calderon Quiroz was born in Seguin, Texas on April 15, 1962, to Maria Concepcion ‘Chona’ Frias Calderon and Gumecindo ‘Tino’ Calderon. Anna passed away quietly with her family by her side on December 9, 2022. Anna married young to Ricardo Quiroz, Jr. as he began his military service. She worked in the medical field for much of her life in administrative roles on military bases and settled into a long career with Christus Home Healthcare, where she made many loyal and cherished friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Sarah C. Calderon. She is survived by her children, Rene J. Quiroz (Rebecca Sookchan) and Stephanie T. Quiroz; grandchildren, Michael, Katana, and Nevaeh; siblings, Dean Calderon (Frances), Elsa C. Garcia (Alex), Alisa M. Lopez, David Calderon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Anna was devoted to the blessed mother Mary and wished to have a celebration of the immortality promised to all by Christ. She would love to be remembered for her cunning wit, ample kindness, and slight grim humor to celebrate what was good and blessed in her life. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, colleague, and friend. Her heart of this world may have failed, but her spirit was stubbornly strong.

SERVICES - All services held at Porter Loring Mortuary - West. 1710 W. Loop 1604 N., San Antonio, TX 78251. There will be a 7:00 pm Rosary on Friday, December 16, 2022, and a Prayer Service at 10:00 am with a Reception to follow on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
