Anna Estella Roach

Anna E. (Baxter) Roach, age 96, of San Antonio, Texas (formally of Hebron, Ohio) passed away Monday morning, January 2, 2023, at home. She was born on May 17, 1926, in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Wilmer and Mary (Durben) Baxter.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Anna loved the Lord and was strong in her faith and shared her faith with many over the years. This was more possible during her time serving beside her husband in his ministry with the Ohio West United Methodist Conference.

Mrs. Roach retired from Civil Service after 26 years, in 1993. She worked at the Aerospace Guidance and Metrology Center (AGMC) in Heath. Mrs. Roach was a Management Assistant in the Foreign Military Sales Branch generating and monitored financial billings for over 20 foreign customers. Anna served as the secretary to the Director of Metrology, manager of the Administrative Center for the Directorate, plus worked with the F-16 design team.

She also served as the secretary for Heath United Methodist Church and Reverend Richard Waddle after her retirement from Civil Service.

She is survived by three of her children, daughters, Goldie (Dan) Ohde of Heath, Ohio, Debbie (Brent) Watling of San Antonio, Texas and son, Kevin (Cathie) Roach of Boulder City, Nevada. She has nine grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Kenneth E. Roach; brother, Harry Baxter, sister, Freda Longstaff & her oldest daughter, Karen Moore.

There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Assisting the family with arrangements are The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service and Porter Loring Mortuary of San Antonio, Texas.
