Annabelle Marie Corbin

Annabelle Marie Corbin passed into eternal life on October 14, 2012 at the age of 88. She was born on October 11, 1924 in Nevada, Iowa to the late Hans and Anna Peterson. After graduating high school, she earned her Nursing Degree from The Lutheran Deaconess School of Nursing in Chicago. Annabelle was able to find a job wherever her family lived, including working for 9 years for the College Community School District in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After moving to San Antonio, Annabelle worked as psychiatric nurse for the VA Hospital, and retired after 17 years. She was a dedicated mentor for 11 years, tutoring children in English and Reading. Annabelle also loved to participate in clubs and activities dedicated to her Scandinavian and Norwegian culture. She will be dearly missed by her family. Annabelle was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years: James Edwin Corbin, and her siblings Agnes Veith, Thelma Nelson, Kimble Peterson, Henry Peterson and their spouses. She is survived by her son, Randy Paul Corbin and wife, Stephanie; nieces Caryl Chornow and Kris Ishaq, and nephews Doug Corbin and Bill Corbin. A memorial service will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Hope Lutheran Church, 5714 Callaghan Road, San Antonio, Tx, 78228. Private Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park on a later date.
