Annamarie V. Johnson-Gillaspia

It is with great sadness that the family of Annamarie V. Johnson-Gillaspia, age 52, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6th, 2018 in her home. She was born June 2nd, 1966 to Lazaro and Grace Vitela,with siblings; Larry Vitela Jr, Norma Alvarado, Francis, Vito and Genero Gonzalez.. She was a 1986 graduate of Alamo Heights High School. She worked for over 15 years as a Seafood Manger at HEB, displaying a wonderful passion for her career. Anna truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; fishing, dancing, and being around family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her brother Richard Vitela and brother in law José Alvarado. She is survived by her loving husband Eric Anthony Gillaspia, daughters Renée (Dave) Ferron III of Beeville, Rebecca Johnson of San Antonio; sons Kennith Johnson Jr of Houston, Kevin Gillaspia of San Antonio and Cameron Gillaspia of Austin. Anna is also survived by her grandchildren, Zoey Hernandez, Daisy and Sadie Ferron, Cole and Tessa Rodriguez and Isaiah Cadriel. Along with numerous close family members. In leu of flowers, please send donations, in her memory, to the Costal Conservation Association of Corpus Christi or the American Cancer Society. The family is requesting for everyone that is attending services to wear yellow in memory of Annamarie V. Johnson-Gillaspia
