

She was born to Daniel P. Sullivan and Ruth Manion on July 19, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Garden City, Long Island.
Anne was a dedicated nurse practitioner for 30 years in Boston and San Antonio. She was among the first generation of female nurse practitioners, which emerged from the expansion of Healthcare Services. Anne loved taking care of people.
She earned a BA from Boston College and an MA from Boston University. Anne worked at the Harvard Community Health Plan and ran the young parents program at Boston Children's Hospital.
She moved to San Antonio in 1987 and worked in several roles for Planned Parenthood and the Methodist Hospital until her retirement in 2007. Anne served as chair of the San Antonio Nurses in Advanced Practice (SANAP) in the 1990's.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Nora Sullivan Amberg, of Alamo Heights; three brothers, Larry of Arlington, Virginia, James of Ridgefield, Connecticut, and Daniel of New York City, and their families and former spouse, Stephen Amberg of San Antonio.
