

Anthonette Cangelosi went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2013 at the age of 87. Mrs. Cangelosi was born in Bryan, Texas on May 11, 1926 to Sam and Launa Scardino. She met the love of her life, Anthony Cangelosi, and they were married October 15, 1944 in Bryan, Texas. They were married for 36 blessed years until his passing in 1980. Anthonette was a devoted mother to her six children, and beloved grandmother to eight, and great-grandmother to four. She will be remembered by all for her warm outgoing personality, sense of humor, caring for others and, of course, those fabulous meals! The most renowned were her spaghetti and meatballs, stuffed artichokes and braciola.
Anthonette was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and in-laws Donato and Virginia Cangelosi. She is survived by her children, Don Cangelosi and wife Leslie, Sam Cangelosi and wife Cindy, Carol Meyer and husband Don, Anthony Cangelosi Jr. of New York, Victor Cangelosi of New Braunfels and Virginia Cangelosi of San Diego; grandchildren include Ryall Meyer and wife Lauren of Wichita Falls, Texas, Sarah Meyer, Stephanie Orosz and husband Gabi, Nicole Cangelosi, Anthony Cangelosi, Christy Kelley and husband Ryan, Samantha Cangelosi and Gina Cangelosi; great-grandchildren include Austin Orosz, Stella Orosz, Trace Meyer and Sammy Kelley. Anthonette is also survived by her loving sister, Marjorie Saculla of Bryan, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, adoring nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
The family would like to thank JoAnn Long, Gina Rodriguez and Linda Martinez for their constant love, devotion and care for our mother the past years.
