Anthony Davila Garza

Anthony D. Garza passed away on August 8, 2023 in San Antonio TX. Anthony was born to Anthony Colosi Garza and Socorro Marie Davila on October 24, 1947 in San Antonio TX. Anthony served in the Marine Corps where he was a sharp shooter and fought in the Vietnam War earning a purple heart. He had a love for oldies music and love spending time customizing his belt buckles. He loved spending time with his daughters but most of all his three granddaughters.

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, bothers, Johnny Garza, Jerry Garza, and brother in law Frank Balderas.

He is survived by daughters, Pauline Garza, Victoria Sanchez (Vanessa), granddaughters, Aliana Garza, Destiny Muniz, Isabel Muniz, sister, Patsy Balderas, brothers, Jimmy Garza, Stevie Quinones, sister in law, Maria Garza, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Anthony will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 12:00 PM at San Juan De Los Lagos Parish & Shrine, 3231 El Paso St., San Antonio, TX 78207 with interment to follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
