Antonia Salas Gonzalez

She was born on July 5, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas

Antonia married Felipe Gonzalez on July 28, 1946 and they had 4 children, Joseph F. Gonzalez Jr, Dahlia S. Gonzalez, Ruben S. Gonzalez and Steven S. Gonzalez.

She devoted her life to God and caring for her husband and family.

Antonia enjoyed reading, poetry, writing and her favorite flowers were red roses. She planted a pear tree next to the fence line and enjoyed watching the neighborhood children pick the pears to eat.

Antonia is survived by her daughter, Dahlia S. Gonzalez and son Ruben S. Gonzalez and wife Sylvia.

Grandchildren: Abel J. Rodriguez, Elliot I. Rodriguez, Leslie R. Howard, Venus Barrera, Ruben M. Gonzalez, Crystal A. Trevino, Kristine K. Gonzalez and Steven S. Gonzalez Jr. Great grand children: Jason Rodriguez, Justin Rodriguez, Kaitlin Rodriguez, Joshua Rodriguez, Evelyn Altaffer, Jack Howard, Liliana Antuna, Emri Rodriguez, Isabella Barrera, Elizabeth Barrera, David Barrera, Alyssa Trevino, Aiden Trevino, Allison Trevino, and Gabriel Rodriguez. Great great grandchildren: Brendin Rodriguez, Marcus Rodriguez, Olivia Rodriguez, Taylor Rodriguez and Nora Rodriguez.

She was proceeded in death by her sons Joseph F. Gonzalez Jr, and Steven S Gonzalez, her parents Gabriel and Vita Salas, and her sisters and brother, Maria Gonzalez, Consuelo Vela, Janie Pizzini, Eva Bustos and Frank Salas.

Visitation will begin August 31, 2020 at 5pm, services beginning at 7pm. A Chapel Service will be held the next day, September 1, 2020 at 10:00am at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd.

Interment will be September 1, 2020 at 11:30am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
