

Mr. Gonzales served in the U. S. Army during WWII and received the Victory Medal. He worked at Alamo Welding Supply Company for 25 years. He then went on to become a Civil Service employee at Kelly AFB as a Supply Technician where he retired after 10 years of service.
He was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs as well as the Houston Astros. He loved baseball so much he coached for his son's Southeast little league. He enjoyed traveling and gambling along with his loving wife, Emma. His passion was driving, he and wife Emma drove to many places for vacations like California, Colorado, Nevada, and Louisiana as well as many local surrounding to towns well known for barbeque.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Sylvia Louise Gonzales; parents, Victor and Catarina Gonzales; brothers, Victor Cepeda and Felix Cepeda; sister, Sobieda Cepeda, sister, Alicia C. Raymer (Gilford), and Christine C. Rodriguez.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Emma Ortiz Gonzales; son, Steven Anthony Gonzales; granddaughter, Briana Gonzales; sister-in-law, Mary Garcia; niece, Lisa Marie (Jonathan); nephew, Joe Michael Garcia (Victoria Luisa); great nephew, Michael A. Garcia; great niece, Marissa Y. Limas; great nephews Alexander J. Byrd and Christopher J. Byrd.
The Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino,
226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237. The Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of The Resurrection at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78226. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II, 7456 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.
