Although I owe my life to my savior, Jesus Christ, I also owe a lot to my cousins Lee and Denise, for it was them who unknowingly set high standards for me and my siblings to live by. I'll never  forget how elated we would become just at the sight of them driving up for a visit. I also want to thank my aunt Elma for raising such a wonderful person and sharing him with all of us.

Daddy / Those with heartfelt words,

I have had the opportunity to have been blessed with the best father in the world. My father most certainly is the father that most people will only dream of. I had already been so very proud to be his daughter, I thank you all for making me even prouder!!  To see and hear the positive impact and beautiful memories my father has shared with so many lives. Helps us as a family as we continue to deal with our great loss.

To lose someone you love is very hard in itself. However, to lose someone you love so unexpectedly of my fathers caliber, etc is unbearable at times.

Although we never imagined that it would be so soon. I thank my father for attempting to prepare us for this day. He always used to tell us that if anything should ever happen to him, Celebrate his life.  He always said, "What more could I ask for, I have a great wife, great kids, wonderful grandkids and have lived a great life".  I thank those that were able to come to my fathers "life celebration". It was certainly a moment filled with tears of sadness and smiles of joy being thankful to have been blessed with such a beautiful person that has left us with so many beautiful memories. 

Instead of focusing on the days I SHOULD have had with you Daddy.  I thank God for the days I have had with you on this earth. In my mind this is just like when you would go TDY and tell us to take care of each other and our mother until you returned...oh how I can't wait to see you again!!

...until then I will continue to remember all the positive quotes and words you would give me.  I thank you for raising us to realize that there is "no limit to what we can achieve in life...our only limitation is within ourself... if we allow it". I thank you for teaching me that a person needs to "be the best" at whatever they are in life. I still hear you saying..."in life you have to get out there and do what is necessary, if the only job available is janitorial...get out there and be the best! No matter what you do in life, be the best!!"  I'll never forget the big smile you had on your face in the hospital when we told you about the people at the post office missing you (smiling)! There was no room for "half stepping with you" (smiling).  Words you lived by, words you instilled in our family and words we will continue to prosper in.

I thank you for raising us into the closely bonded family that we are.  It never matters how far away in physical distance our family is. Because of you and mom we will always remain #1's in the bonds of our heart. There are so many things that I am thankful for....I think I'll have to write a book or maybe one day I'll finally finish that poem that keeps getting interrupted by tears. 

Thank you for being you Daddy, you are so right...I will always be Daddy's baby girl. Just like the words you had placed on my Red Ford truck that is now rusted over..."Bad by myself"...I will continue to shine for you. Just as I knew when you were here on earth; while I'm doing "Bad by myself"...I'm never alone.   

Thank you for being you! OH how I can't wait to see you again Daddy!!

Archie was such a fine person and a hard worker. Smiles can be in short supply nowadays, but Archie always had a great one ready to share.  He will be missed by everybody at work.

Our sympathy, warmth and sadness are with the family of Archie, during this very trying time, as we watch him placed to rest. Let us all rest assured, that although Archie is no longer within our physical reach. His presence, and memories will remain with us forever.
