

Armando was born to Armando Rodriguez, Sr., and Estela Rodriguez on March 20, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Antonian College Preparatory, graduated in 1969, and went on to earn a degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He married Robin Lynn Carter on September 21, 2006. They lived in League City, Texas, before returning to their hometown of San Antonio, where they raised their son, Bryan Carter.
Armando is survived by his wife, Robin Carter; his son, Bryan Carter, and daughter-in-law, Courtney Carter; and his grandson, Blake Carter. He is also survived by his five siblings: Rosa Rohr, Arnold Rodriguez (and former wife, Yolanda Valdespino), Hector Rodriguez (wife, Layla Rodriguez), Mario Rodriguez (wife, Patricia Rodriguez), and Robert Rodriguez (wife, Tanya Rodriguez). He is also survived by his nephew, Roman Rodriguez; and his nieces, Bianca Buckingham, Brandi Heinsohn, and Ariana Rodriguez.
Armando built a career with OSHA as a Senior Compliance Officer and was honored several times for his work on significant cases. He retired from OSHA in 2017 and spent the years that followed enjoying retirement and time with family. Armando had a lifelong love of music and stereo systems that he shared with friends and family. He will always be remembered as a loyal husband, devoted father, loving grandfather, and cherished friend. His sense of humor, laughter, and kindness will live on in all who knew him.
A Celebration of Armando’s Life will be held at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, Texas 78232, on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow at the family’s residence. The family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org/.
