Armando Salazar, age 70, passed away on February 24, 2026 in Windcrest, Texas. He was born on December 3, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas. Armando was a special person who touch many lives of those who knew him and he will be dearly missed.
Armando was preceded in death by his parents, Mauro and Dolores Salazar; and his brother, Isaias Salazar. He is survived by his sisters, Beatrice Salazar, Margarita Salazar, and Esther Avalos (Osvaldo “Wally”); his nephews, Michael and James Avalos. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9th from 6-9 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 1:00 pm at Livingway Christian Church; 13285 I-35 Frontage Rd. San Antonio, TX 78233. The service will be officiated by Bishop Steve Fender. The burial will follow at San Jose Burial Park; 8235 Mission Rd. San Antonio, TX 78214.
