Arthur Clyde Gay passed away August 6, 2012 at the age of 87. He was born November 26, 1924 in Springvale, Georgia to Lynwood C. Gay and Hattie Lynch Gay. Arthur served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War. He was also a member of Northern Hills Methodist Church, The Loyal Order of Moose, and 5 dance clubs serving as President of 3 including the Golden Age Dance Club. Arthur was preceded in death by wives Helen Gay and Josephine Gay; Brothers Lynwood C. Gay, Jr. (Boots), Horace Ewell Gay, and Tony Gay; and Sister Ernestine Gay Usher. He is survived by wife Norma Hollingsworth Gay; Daughter Patricia (Raymond) Reyes; Sons Wayne (Patricia Daniel) Gay and Randall (Mary) Gay; Brother Billy (Marilyn) Gay; sister-in-law Virginia Gay; Stepdaughter Pat (Glenn) Merkord, Stepson Riley Brown, Stepdaughter Tanya (Mark)Garrison; Stepdaughters Karen Woodard Brazell (deceased), Barbara Woodard Wright, and Judi Woodard Findsen; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
