Arty A. "Chip" Hawkins Jr.

Chip was preceded in death by his parents, Arty, Sr. & Betty Hawkins; and his siblings, Carolyn Jean and Donald Ray Hawkins. He is survived by his siblings, David and his wife, Cindy Hawkins; Darlene and her husband, Joel Mair; and Jesse and his wife, Laurie Hawkins; his nieces, Melissa, Jodie, Kimberly, Carolyn, and Jessica; nephews, Matthew, Billy, and Dakota; and 15 great nieces and nephews.

Chip worked over 24 years with Southwest Airline as a Customer Support Specialist and was promoted to team leader before his retirement. He was a two-time recipient of the “Committee Member of the Year” for the Rodeo Contestant Hospitality Committee for the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Chip was also proud of his service teaching sign language for the deaf in a program for a local school. He was an active member of Radiant Church.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 26th from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 27th at 12:00 pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
