Born on June 27, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, Charlie lived a full life characterized by kindness, thoughtfulness, and love. He was a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Charlie's early years were spent in the heart of San Antonio, where he attended Fox Tech High School and proudly graduated in 1965. This laid the foundation for a successful career, beginning at Fox Photo. When Fox Photo relocated, Charlie found a new home at Liverpool Enterprises where he stayed until 2007. Although retirement provided him a less stressful lifestyle, he once again sought and found an outlet with Reed Candle Company until finally retirement in 2014. During his work history he was highly respected by colleagues and treasured for his camaraderie.
Throughout his life, Charlie was a beacon of love and support for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 50 years, Mary E. Esperiqueta, and their loving son, Thomas G. Esperiqueta. His legacy also lives on through his sisters, Mary Bermudez and Janie E. Gomez (husband Victor), his brother Jose Esperiqueta (wife RC), and the numerous nephews and nieces who adored their Uncle Charlie. His passing leaves a void in the Esperiqueta family that will be felt for generations to come.
Charlie's kindhearted nature extended beyond his family to his wide circle of friends and colleagues. He was known for his thoughtful gestures and his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. His presence was a source of comfort and joy, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life was truly remarkable.
In his leisure time, Charlie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He could often be found immersed in his daily newspaper, a habit that he continued until his last days. Charlie’s love for his community was evident in his involvement with various associations, from the Fox Tech Ex-Students association to the JFK Alumni Organization. Where he contributed not only his time but also his wisdom and spirit of service.
Charlie's journey came to a peaceful end in the same city where it began. He passed away surrounded by his loved ones in San Antonio, TX. As we mourn his departure, we also celebrate the incredible life he led and the countless memories he created.
