Barbara was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and a graduate of the University of Georgia. She loved cooking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Patrick "Todd" Howell; and her parents. She is survived by her son, Thomas Howell, IV and wife, Ramona; grandchildren, Thomas and Patrick; brothers, John Thoman, Dan Thoman and wife, Linda; sister, Pat Thoman-Burton and husband, Jim.
A small service will be held at her family's home in Greensboro, Georgia on April 15, 2012.
