Barry proudly served his country enlisting in the U.S.A.F. from 1966-1970 where he began his career as a computer programmer/analyst. His greatest joy was his family and friends. He had many accomplishments over the course of his life but he expressed that none were greater than being a Father and Grandpa. He loved playing games and cards, especially euchre and cribbage. Anyone lucky enough to know him was enriched. With his passing, heaven is richer, and earth is poorer.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Veon and Phyllis Green. He is survived by sons, B.J. Green (Penny) and their children Candice, Tyler, and Jacob; Michael Green (Brandy) and their children Owen and Mason; sister, Faye Moriarty (Ed) and brother, Charles Green; friend and companion Debra McBeath and her daughter; Taylor McCain (Bryan); and their children, Charlie and Jayden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:
Child Advocates San Antonio where he continued to serve until his passing.
