Belinda Gonzalez

Our beloved Belinda passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024. Born on January 28, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas. She was a lifelong member of St Philip of Jesus Church, where she attended catholic school, then went on to attend Harris Middle School and graduated from Wheatley High School (Class of '77). Belinda went on to earn her Registered Nurse credentials from Texas Women's University. Her career took her through the halls of University Hospital, St. Luke’s, Methodist, and ultimately Lackland Air Force Base, where she retired after a life spent caring for others.

At St Philip of Jesus Catholic Church, she was a Eucharistic Minister, a volunteer with the CCD classes, The Guadalupanas, and Alter Society Ministries. She was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Organization.

Belinda is survived by her mother, Micaela Gonzalez; her brother, Rueben Gonzalez; sisters Monica Ortiz, Eleanor Mireles (Ray), Lisa Tracy (Justin); she was preceded in death by her sister, Clarissa Gonzalez.

Belinda's greatest joy was traveling and spending time with family, friends and her beloved dogs. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
