Berta W. Martins

Berta Martins was born in Brackettville, TX later moving to San Antonio, TX. Berta passed away on January 11, 2014 at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse J. Martins Sr. She is survived by her children, Jesse J. Martens Jr. and wife Theresa, Bernice Rich and husband James, Jocelyn Harris and husband Charles, Lisa Richards, John Martins and wife Shawn; grandchildren, Kristi Darnell, Bryan Martins, Allan Martins, John Martins Jr., Ashley Martins, Kimberly Harris and Andrew Harris; great grandchildren, Jade Martins and Hunter Darnell; brother, Robert G. White; sisters, Clara White and Angelina Villarreal. Berta worked several places, most memorable were Kress Drug Store, Finesilver Sewing Factory and Jesco Ornamental Iron Works before retiring. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home. The interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
