

She spent countless hours volunteering at The Majestic Theater and helping the homeless, traveling, painting, crocheting and sewing. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Francis of Assisi and a devout member and volunteer of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gilbert Bento and Niece Patricia G. Alvarez (Simon). Bertha is survived by Gilbert Ron Bento and Sylvia Deborah Frye (her Step Children). She is also survived by her Niece Vilma E. Torres (Manuel) and Nephew Adrian Gonzalez (Monica); Grand niece Vilma Holguin (Hector); Nephews Juventino B. Gonzalez (Armandina), Roberto Omar Vera (Jeanne), Jose Guillermo “Willie” Vera (Anita), Victor Noel Gonzalez (Rita), Celso Gonzalez, IV (Carla), Alfonso “Al” Rene Garcia (Norma), Carlos G. Garcia (Nina), Alberto G. Garcia (Norma); and Nieces Edna Garcia (Marcie) and Berta Nora G. Garza and Numerous Grand Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4222 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas 78227.

The family of Bertha Bento would like to thank all parties involved over the year for their loving care and dedication towards her, especially the following organization; Morningside Manor, Seniors Helping Seniors, Caring Companions, Family Tree, Sage Care Management and Tranquility.
Due to COVID-19 mandates, the church occupancy will be limited to 100 guests. Face masks and social distancing will be required at the church and cemetery. Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery limits the amout of guests at the commital shelter, therefore, interment will be limited to 25 immediate family members only.
