

Beth Ann was born on September 17, 1949 in Fort Benning, GA. She graduated from Forest Sherman American High School in Naples, Italy in 1967, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Univ. of Southern Mississippi in 1972. Her first job after college was as an accountant at a chicken farm in Mississippi, which she often joked about. She later went to work as an Auditor for the State of Mississippi.
In 1978, Beth Ann embarked on the career that would define her life. She joined the officer ranks of the United States Army. While on active duty, she served as an Adjutant General Officer for 14 years, 9 years of which she served as an Administrative and Personnel Systems Management Officer. The other 5 years, she was a Club Manager for the Officer and Community Clubs in Stuttgart, Germany for Active duty and Retired members of U.S. Armed Forces and both Local and Foreign Dignitaries. She was medically retired in 1992 after medical complications from Multiple Sclerosis.
After retirement, Beth Ann was very active in local San Antonio chapters of: The American Red Cross; Daughters of the Confederacy; Order of the Eastern Star and Wimodausis; and the Charles W. Anderson Lodge-San Antonio.
A special thank you goes to Vera, Celeste, Bernice and numerous others who provided such great care of Beth Ann during her long struggle. She truly appreciated each and every one of you. Thank you S.A.M.M.C Departments of Neurology and Urology, and Drs. Douglas Barber and Naser Oria at Audie Murphy VA Medical Center, she truly thought of you as angels. We cannot thank the staff of Dignity Hospice enough for providing such terrific care and love at the end of her life.
Beth Ann is preceded in death by her parents Col. (Ret.) Thomas G. and Martha F. Morehead, and Sister Martha Schultz. She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Pergerson, son, Matt, and his wife, Audrey, Grandchildren, Grant and Ty, Step-Daughter Lauren, her husband, Scott, and their daughter Ava, Step-Son, Neil, nephews: Jim, Rick, and Rob Schultz and their families, as well as cousin Scott, and her beloved teacup chihuahuas: Bella, Bria, and Bianca.
